A Letter from Our Board President: Building for the Long Term
Dear Friends and Supporters,
I am writing to you not only as Board President, and You Can't Fail Graduate, but as someone deeply committed to the leadership and well-being of women of color and women of color in leadership.
Over the past several years, our one-of-a-kind leadership program has become a trusted, transformative and safe space. The demand we are experiencing is both affirming and humbling and it tells us that women of color are seeking leadership development rooted in safety, authenticity, and community.
It also tells us that it is time to grow with intention.
After thoughtful discussion and planning, our board has unanimously agreed to take the upcoming year to focus on fundraising and organizational sustainability. This means pausing program delivery temporarily so that we can strengthen our infrastructure, secure long-term funding, and prepare for a future where we can serve more women—without sacrificing the quality or integrity of the program.
This decision reflects our commitment to responsible leadership. We believe women of color deserve programs that are not only impactful today, but sustainable tomorrow.
Our Strategic Focus
During this year, we will be investing in:
Long-term funding partnerships
Stronger organizational systems
A scalable and resilient program model
A bold vision for the next phase of our impact
We are deeply grateful for your continued belief in this work. Your partnership during this strategic year is critical and powerful. Together, we are ensuring that this program not only continues but thrives.
Thank you for trusting us with this mission and for standing with us as we build for the future.
With appreciation and resolve,
Dora Jones, MPA
Board President
